Oldfleet Spring Eco Challenge #1

There is no doubt that members of Oldfleet Primary's Junior Leadership Team (JLT) are passionate about the role they play in their school community. At today's JLT they explained what their Eco Challenges have been this term. Their Eco Reps returned from the autumn Thrive Student Congress (TSC) with some ideas for their challenge. They decided to use the 'Buy only what you need' and 'Donate Old Clothes' suggestions and to sign up for the 'Buy Nothing Bingo' scheme. All pupils have taken one of these cards back home to see which ones they can tick off.

In addition, there were some great Pupil Agency discussions taking place today, including thinking about playground football rules and ideas for new equipment for their outdoor play. Led by Miss Buitendam, this JLT works extremely efficiently with strong communications established between the pupils in the classrooms and the school leaders who can bring about change.
